Bloomberg News is a financial news agency founded in 1990 by Michael Bloomberg and Matthew Winkler, headquartered at Bloomberg Tower on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan with regional offices including London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. It operates as a division of the privately held Bloomberg L.P., delivering financial news reporting to Bloomberg Terminal subscribers and distributing content through television, radio, magazines and digital channels including Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets. As of 2010 it employed roughly 2,300 editors and reporters across 146 news bureaus in 72 countries, competing with Reuters and the Associated Press; John Micklethwait has served as editor-in-chief since 2015.
