The Bank of Montreal, known by the initials BMO, is a Canadian multinational investment bank and financial services company. It was founded on June 23, 1817, in Montreal, Quebec, making it Canada's oldest bank. The bank keeps its formal headquarters in Montreal but has operated from Toronto, Ontario, where its operational headquarters and executive offices have been located since 1977.
