The Auburn and Northern Electric Railroad was an electric railroad chartered in 1904 by the Beebe Syndicate to connect the city of Auburn, New York with the Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern Railroad at Port Byron, New York. In 1905 the New York Board of Railroad Commissioners authorized the company to build 12 miles of track between Auburn and Port Byron, backed by a one million dollar mortgage. The line was leased for use following negotiations at an Auburn and Syracuse Electric Railroad stockholders meeting in May 1907.
