The Artists Books Cooperative (ABC) is an international network for artists who create print-on-demand books. It was founded in 2009 by German artist Joachim Schmid, and participates in book fairs and exhibitions predominantly in Europe and North America. The cooperative is known for embracing print-on-demand technology, which lets member artists avoid the high costs of traditional offset printing and conventional publishing, positioning it within contemporary photography and self-publishing circles in the art world.
