ArcelorMittal is a multinational steel manufacturing corporation headquartered in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, formed in 2007 through the acquisition of Arcelor by Mittal Steel Company. It is the second largest steelmaker in the world by production, operating iron ore and coke mining alongside steelmaking facilities across fourteen countries, and it produces most of the iron ore and coke it uses internally. The Mittal family holds a controlling stake of about 45 percent, with the remaining shares publicly traded.
