Amorepacific Corporation is a South Korean beauty and cosmetics conglomerate headquartered in Yongsan District, Seoul, operating more than 30 beauty, personal care and health brands including Sulwhasoo, Laneige, Etude, Aestura, Cosrx, AP Beauty and Innisfree. It was founded on September 5, 1945 by Sungwhan Suh, who built the company from his mother's camellia oil business, and is now run by his son Kyungbae Suh, who took over in 1997 and repositioned the firm for global markets. It is the largest cosmetics company in South Korea and ranks among the ten largest cosmetics companies in the world.
