Ambu A/S

Ambu A/S is a Danish company headquartered in Copenhagen that develops, produces and markets single use endoscopy solutions and diagnostic and life supporting equipment for hospitals, private practices and rescue services, with its largest business areas in anesthesia, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, urology and gastroenterology; its most important products include devices for artificial ventilation, single use endoscopes and single use electrodes for ECG and neurophysiological tests. The company originated in Denmark in 1937 as Testa Laboratorium, founded by German engineer Holger Hesse, and was established under the Ambu name in 1956. As of 2025 it reported revenue of 6,037 million Danish kroner and employed 5,500 people, and it trades on Nasdaq Copenhagen.
