Altria Group, Inc. is an American tobacco company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, formerly known as Philip Morris Companies before adopting the Altria name in 2003. It sells Marlboro cigarettes and other tobacco products within the United States, having spun off its international tobacco business as the separate company Philip Morris International in 2008 and its former food business, Kraft Foods, in earlier years, and it has also held investment stakes in companies including the e-cigarette maker Juul Labs.
