Alexander Keith's is a brewery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, founded in 1820 by Alexander Keith, who had immigrated from Scotland three years earlier. In 1928 the business was sold to Oland Brewery, later sold to Labatt Brewing Company, and through further mergers and acquisitions it is now owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev; by the 1990s Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale had become the most popular beer in Nova Scotia, and its beers are now produced at Anheuser-Busch InBev plants across Canada and the United States rather than only at the original Halifax brewery.
