AL Sydbank A/S is one of Denmark's largest full service banks, headquartered in Aabenraa, providing retail, commercial and private banking services. It was established in 1970 through the consolidation of four regional financial institutions in Southern Jutland: Den Nordslesvigske Folkebank, Graasten Bank, Folkebanken for Als og Sundeved, and Tonder Landmandsbank. By the 2010s it operated about 115 branches in Denmark and three in Germany with roughly 2,600 employees and around seven percent of the Danish banking market. In December 2025 the bank completed a merger with Arbejdernes Landsbank and Vestjysk Bank, and the combined entity, keeping the AL Sydbank name, now operates around 140 branches.
