Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is an American industrial gases company headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, founded in 1940 by Leonard Pool to supply oxygen to industrial customers by building on-site gas plants rather than shipping cylinders. It grew into one of the world's largest suppliers of atmospheric and process gases, serving industries including refining, chemicals, electronics and steelmaking.
