Agricore United

Agricore United was a farmer directed agribusiness in Canada headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, formed on November 1, 2001 through the merger of Agricore and United Grain Growers. The company operated grain handling and merchandising through elevator networks stretching from Manitoba to British Columbia, sold more crop production inputs in western Canada than any other company, and manufactured livestock feed at seven facilities across British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. It traded publicly on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol AU. Saskatchewan Wheat Pool acquired Agricore United in an all cash offer of 20.50 dollars per share, and on August 30, 2007 the company ceased to exist as Saskatchewan Wheat Pool rebranded itself as Viterra.
