American computer scientist and entrepreneur who co-founded Google with Sergey Brin in 1998 while both were PhD students at Stanford University. Page served as Google's first chief executive from 1998 until 2001, returned as Google's CEO in April 2011, and led the August 2015 restructuring into the holding company Alphabet Inc., serving as Alphabet's chief executive until stepping down on December 3, 2019, when he was succeeded by Sundar Pichai.
